The Grid Designer has been broken up into two releases, one for Cloud Grid Designer and one for Legacy Grid Designer. Going forward Cloud Grid Designer will be be updated with new features, while Legacy Grid Designer will not. I currently have no plans to remove Legacy Grid Designer, it will just not be updated.
